Billiard Venturi

Joyce Cardello held an auction on eBay offering this pipe along with two other cards of pipes. I thought it interesting since I had never seen a Venturi in any packaging before. I once had a white Bent Venturi with the foil red-white-and-blue band on the shank. Mistakenly, I thought it was an aftermarket add-on and traded the pipe away. Now I discover that these pipes were a production item. Notice that there is a pouch of tobacco behind the pipe and, on the other side, there is a brochure entitled "200 years of pipe smoking in America." (And, no, I didn't open this package to get at the brochure. An opened one came along and I scanned its brochure.) I have seen two white pipes banded like this, were the other colors done this way too? Time will tell.
