39 points description

Bruce Rowland (browl1954 on eBay) offered this extemely rare sandblasted model. It is only the second example of a sandblast I have seen. There is some damage to the finish, the imprint is faint, someone took what looks like a grinder to the liner (There is enough of the liner left to be sure it was there originally.), and the the pipe logo on the mouthpiece is almost completely worn away. Even so, it is overall in much better condition than the other example in my collection. Like the other sandblast, the stamping is consistent in style and size with others of these English-made pipes and, also like the other, it is on the bottom of the shank instead of the left side. Likewise the BRIAR 84 and MADE IN ENGLAND stampings are on the bottom of the shank, not the right side as with all the others known. Clearly the English Venturi, Ltd. did make some of these sandblasts. Yea!
