The 2007 Chicago Pipe Show was, as always, an outstanding event. This year there were 317 tables with exhibitors from all over the world -- 62 nations represented! It's always a good time, but this is the second year in a row that I have had a personal hero. Last year it was J. and Louise Jones who were chosen to liquidate the Tom Dunn collection and saved his assortment of the pipe examples for me. This year, my friend George Burns discovered a collection of eight the pipe, all NIB, and gave me first refusal on the lot. Needless to say, I took full advantage of this rare find and bought them all. Thank you, George; may you live long and prosper!

After I got them home, all but one of the eight were improved examples of their shape/color for me. This one has joined the collection.
