Dublin the pipe

Morocco Grey

This pipe arrived in my collection as so many have. Larry Buys won it in an eBay auction. When we met at the 2006 Columbus pipe show he showed it to me and, when I admired it excessively and boo-hooed about not having any grey pipe boxes or literature in my collection and how this one could help me figure out more about the sequence of colors, etc., etc., he broke down and gave it to me. Later in our conversation he mentioned that he had no California Style pipes in his collection so I gave him #177, a very nice CS Canadian that I happened to be loading up as we talked. And a good time was had by all! (By theway, this pipe did help a lot as I thought it would and A History of the pipe has been revised because of it.) It's in the database as a trade, but the truth of the matter is that it was more like two friends exchanging Christmas presents. Pipe Photo
