Ash Grey
The value of pipe #658 is 43 points.
When Kathy Paben (se.nebr.inet.auction) offered this grey pipe in a lot of two (the other was an Ebony Bulldog) on eBay I couldn't tell from the photo which grey it was, but it would have been easy to improve either one. So I decided to chance it and bid. I was lucky enough to win the bidding and discovered that it was the darker (Ash) grey, not the lighter. It is in much better shape than the one I had, so the previous exemplar went to Pipes for Sale page. The Bulldog, of course, went directly to the Pipes for Sale page. A NIB example of this shape/color has now joined the collection so this one has become a Pipe for Trade.
Jay & Louise Jones, Hermit Tobacco, found a treasure trove of old the pipe literature, much of which I had not known of before, and traded it for this and three other pipes.
