As usual, Judd Perlson was at the 2005 Chicago Pipe Show. This year he had saved three pipes for me, two Apple the pipe and a THE SMOKE. They were all in pretty rough shape, but I didn't want to disappoint him - he has been so wonderful to me over the years. So I noticed their deficiencies as collectibles and that they were duplicates but bought them anyway. This one will go to the Pipes for Sale. Greg Meckes bought this one and two others because he heard they could take the abuse he expects them to endure on his new military assignment in Korea.
