This was the first pipe with a pyrolytic graphite bowl liner I ever owned. I bought it in the sixties and have enjoyed smoking it ever since. It's amazing how well this pipe has stood the test of time and abuse. This has always been my pipe of choice when going out of doors in cold weather because the sudden change in temperature from indoors to out or from empty to lit does not cause the shank to crack or the bowl to split. The pipe is almost indestructible -- the "almost" must now be there. I have one that has actually been broken in my collection. This pipe is the foundation of my collection.
